What does this mean?
It is learning what you think and believe about yourself, what you think you can and cannot do, and how it manifests into your everyday life.
It is that "story" that will, at times, stop you from performing your exercises regularly.
We are going to help you to get out of your own way so that you can achieve success with Facerobics, if you choose to.
Answer the questions openly and honestly. This is not a confessional, this is your very own private time, just for you, to bring about healing and change if you choose to.
Activity
You will be focusing on your debilitating self talk. The excuses you tell yourself why you have failed at something. Your s-t-o-r-y.
Dive deep into yourself to uncover your subconscious chatter. There might be something in the back of your mind that speaks to you, but you don't quite hear it, don't want to hear it. Listen to it.
Someone may have once told you that you are useless, you will never amount to anything, you are fat, ugly, or something else. People love projecting their thoughts onto others. (My two older brothers tormented me for years, along with their friends, about the way I looked. This was my personal story for many years!)
I will let you in on a secret. People's negative projections onto you is more about their failures than yours!
You might not have had that experience. So, is this just you feeling uncomfortable with aging, or are feeling powerless about the way you look, your weight, or you don't like your reflection in the mirror? Ask yourself, what do I feel?
Does your mood change when you look in the mirror? If so, what do you feel? Journal it.
Notice anything surfacing? Journal it. You don't have to write a book, just jot down your thoughts as they surface.
The answers are your thoughts that create your feelings, and manifest into actions for choices you make and ultimately shape consequences.
This maybe a painful activity that takes courage and discipline, the first steps of becoming a Master.
Keep your notes as you will be using them later on.
After you complete this activity, move onto the next one below immediately to finish this module.
