When you exercise your body to strengthen the muscles, there are 3 components that create change
1) varying exercise sets to keep muscles in a constant state of change
2) differing sets of repetitions to stop muscles from plateauing; and
3) rest which supports muscle growth
Similarly these principles must be applied to your facial muscles as they are organized identically to muscles of your body.
As you exercise your facial muscles, they start to adapt back to the natural shape of your skeletal features because the muscles are attached to the bone of your skull (the only place in the body where the muscles are attached to bone).
The muscles start to build, tone and strengthen.
All the while this is happening, the muscles build and tone and the skin starts to stretch subtly over the muscles, giving a smooth, wrinkle free and youthful look.
The very nature of skin is elastic, therefore it has an amount of give. If the skin sags excessively, facial exercise will only work for a certain point, due to the fact that the muscles are much smaller than the muscles of the body and will only build to the point they can.
Having said that, even if you have extra skin, your facial exercising is not lost. You will still enjoy firm, toned muscles and the wonderful, energized feeling that comes with it.
The only way to have success with the Facerobics® Facial Exercise Program is to practice a full face routine, encompassing the principles above.
